Camera Access

FilmFlip requires access to your device's camera to scan film negatives. Camera data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.

Photo Library Access

The app requests access to your photo library to save scanned images. Photos are saved locally to your device's camera roll. We do not upload, collect, or access your photos.

Crash Reports and Analytics

We use Sentry to collect anonymous crash reports and performance data. This helps us identify and fix bugs. Crash reports may include device type, operating system version, and app state at the time of the crash. No personally identifiable information is collected through crash reports.

Data Storage

All scanned photos and app settings are stored locally on your device. We do not operate any servers that store your personal data or photos. Your scans remain entirely under your control.

In-App Purchases

FilmFlip offers in-app purchases processed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment details.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

  • Sentry — for crash reporting and performance monitoring.
  • RevenueCat — for managing in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat may collect an anonymous app user ID to manage your subscription status.
  • Expo Updates — for delivering over-the-air updates to the app. No personal data is collected through this service.

Children's Privacy

FilmFlip is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
